Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and your rights. Last updated 6 November 2026.

Plain-language policy. Ashport is a free hobby project run by one person. This page was written in good faith for a project of that size and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Questions? Email support.ashport@gmail.com.

Controller

Nick ("Dyhr"), a private individual in Denmark, is the data controller. Privacy questions: support.ashport@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, password hash, passkey and sign-in provider identifiers.
  • Game data: your character, its stats, items, actions, trades, fights, messages, chat and forum posts.
  • Security data: IP addresses, browser and device signals at sign-in, used to stop multi-accounting, cheating and fraud.
  • Payment data: what you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment provider, never by us.
  • Notification settings: push subscriptions, alert webhooks and email preferences you choose.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • Running the game and your account: performance of our contract with you.
  • Security, anti-cheat and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in a fair game.
  • Payments and tax records: legal obligation.
  • Optional notifications: your consent, which you can withdraw in settings.

Who we share it with

Hosting and database providers, our payment provider, our email provider, and Discord if you sign in with it, each only as needed to run the service. While Ashport is small it runs on a server we manage ourselves; when it moves to a hosting company we will name it here. We do not sell personal data. Other players see your public profile, posts and in-game actions.

International transfers

Game data is stored on a server in the EU/EEA; if that changes we will update this page. If you choose to sign in with Discord, Discord (USA) receives the sign-in request under its own privacy policy and transfer safeguards.

How long we keep it

Account and game data: while your account exists. Sign-in security logs: while your account exists. Payment records: as long as tax law requires. After deletion, the character name is replaced and your posts are blanked; anonymous economy records stay so the game's books balance.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent. Use Your data or email support.ashport@gmail.com. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk) or the authority in your own country.

Children

Ashport is not for children under 13. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
