Game rules
What is and is not allowed in Ashport. Last updated 6 November 2026.
Ashport is a game about crime. The crimes stay in the game. These rules apply everywhere: the game, chat, mail, the forums, faction pages and our community spaces. By playing you agree to them.
1. One account per person
Each person may hold one account. Creating, buying, sharing or using extra accounts ("multis") to gain any advantage is forbidden, including feeding cash or items to yourself, farming attacks, or voting twice.
Two players on the same network (family, flatmates, a school) are allowed, but they must not trade with, attack, revive or bust each other for gain. Tell staff through the support page so the link is not flagged.
2. No bots, scripts or automation
Every action must be taken by a person, one click at a time. Macros, auto-clickers, browser extensions or scripts that act for you, and anything that refreshes or acts while you are away, are forbidden. Read-only tools that only display information you could already see are fine. Use the official API with your own key and respect its limits.
3. No real-money trading
Selling, buying or trading in-game cash, items, Marks, accounts or services for real money, crypto, gift cards or anything outside Ashport is forbidden. The only way to put real money into the game is the official Store. Account sharing and account sales are also forbidden.
4. Exploits and bugs
If you find a bug that gives you an advantage, stop and report it. Knowingly using a bug, a race condition or an unintended trick, or telling others how to, is an offence even if the trick "worked". Reports that help us fix a serious exploit may be rewarded.
5. Harassment and hate
In-game conflict is fine: attack, mug, bounty and out-trade each other. Real-world harassment is not. No threats against real people, stalking, doxxing (sharing anyone's personal information), hate speech, slurs, sexual content involving anyone, or encouraging self-harm. No impersonating staff.
6. Chat and forum conduct
- Keep it legal and keep it readable: no spam, flooding, chain posts or excessive capitals.
- No advertising other games or services, no referral links, no phishing or malicious links.
- Use the right forum and channel. Trading belongs in the Trading Post; recruitment in Factions and Recruitment.
- Scams inside the game's own trade tools are part of the game; scams that involve real money, account access or off-site payment are not.
- Do not argue moderation in public. Use the support page to appeal.
7. Penalties
Staff choose a penalty that fits the offence and your history. In rough order:
- Warning.
- Chat mute or forum posting ban (hours to permanent).
- Removal of gains: cash, items, stats or rewards obtained by breaking the rules, including from people who knowingly received them.
- Temporary suspension of the account.
- Permanent ban of every account involved. Real-money trading, botting and serious harassment can lead straight here.
Purchases made on an account banned for breaking these rules are not refunded, subject to the Terms and your statutory rights. You may appeal a penalty once through the support page; an admin who did not issue it will review the appeal.
